The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is inviting online applications for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to be held in July 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the CTET Official Website, ctet.nic.in, from 07th March 2024 to 02nd April 2024 for the 19th edition of the CTET, which will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 21st July 2024.

CTET Eligibility Criteria July 2024
Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I to V

3. | “Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and successful completion of or currently enrolled in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) program.” |
4. | “Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and successful completion of or currently enrolled in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.” |
5. | “Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and successful completion of or currently enrolled in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).” “For individuals who have obtained a Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE recognized institution, they are eligible for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, it is mandatory for such individuals to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of their appointment as a primary teacher.” |

CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024
“All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), offering four alternatives, among which one answer will be considered the most appropriate. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking.”
There will be two papers of CTET.
- Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI toVIII.
Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
