Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is accepting online applications for the recruitment of 1375 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in Government Higher Secondary Schools and Upgraded Higher Secondary Schools under the Department of School & Mass Education.
Online applications are sought from eligible male and female candidates for the Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) position. Applicants can apply through the OPSC official website at opsc.gov.in from 31st January 2024 to 02nd March 2024.
No examination fee is payable for applying for the posts.

OPSC PGT Eligibility Criteria 2024
A candidate must:-
Possess a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Furthermore, have completed either a two-year Post Graduate Master’s Course or an integrated six-year Post Graduate Master’s Course from a Regional College of Education recognized by the NCERT in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Possess a B.Ed. or an equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, considered equivalent to a B.Ed. from a recognized University.
B.Ed. qualification is not mandatory for eligibility in the post of PGT in subjects where the B.Ed. course is not available.
Candidates are encouraged to have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Application as a desirable qualification, and they must present a certificate validating this qualification from a recognized University or Institution affiliated with a recognized University.
N.B:- The eligibility criterion for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) will not mandate a B.Ed. qualification for subjects other than Botany, Chemistry, English, Economics, Geography, History, Hindi, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Zoology.
