TNPSC AAO & AHO Eligibility Criteria 2023
Assistant Agricultural Officer
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (plus two) Examination.
- To be eligible, candidates should have completed a two-year Diploma in Agriculture from an institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu or affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Gandhigram Rural Institute (Dindigul District), Annamalai University, or any other institution under the control of the Commissioner of Agriculture.
Note :
- Individuals lacking a two-year Diploma in Agriculture are ineligible for the position of Assistant Agricultural Officer, regardless of any higher qualifications they may possess.
- The educational qualification prescribed by the special rule for the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Extension Subordinate Service does not include a Diploma in Agricultural Technology (3 Years Course).
Assistant Horticultural Officer
- A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination. And
- Successful completion of a two-year Diploma course in Horticulture from institutions approved by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Gandhigram Rural University, Director of Horticulture and Plantation Crops, or a Diploma course in Horticulture conferred by Annamalai University is a requirement.
Note :
- Individuals with a degree in Horticulture are disqualified from applying for the position of Assistant Horticultural Officer.
- Candidates with a two-year Diploma in Agriculture and One Year Post Diploma in Commercial Horticulture are disqualified from applying for this post.
